About the organization
Climate Action Network – CAN-Rac is dedicated to combat climate change, particularly by building social consensus for the implementation of comprehensive climate change action plans by all levels of government, based on the best available science, with specific policies, targets, timetables and reporting, and to work with Canada’s governments, First Nations, Inuit and Métis, private sector, labour, and civil society for the effective implementation of these plans.
Project Description
Funding will contribute to strengthening this 200+ civil society network with 3 main objectives:
- Coordinate movement building on key issues (e.g., workers’ rights).
- Train members to advance equity, anti-racism and decolonization practices.
- Host annual climate justice summit with members and other allies.
