Migrant Workers Alliance for Change

Background of the organization

Migrant Workers Alliance for Change (MWAC) builds power to support migrants, fight for justice, and improve laws by organizing workers across various sectors and collaborating with allies. Established in 2009, it evolved into a key player as the secretariat of the Migrant Rights Network, advocating for fairness and creating change in Ontario and beyond by supporting over 40 migrant-led organizations across Canada.

Project description

Funding will support MWAC in strengthening collective action, as well as advocating for policy reforms and expanding public education to counter rising anti-migrant sentiment in Canada.
