Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language and Cultural Center (KORLCC)

Background of the organization 

The mission of Kanien’kehá;ka Onkwawén:na Raotitiohkwa Language and Cultural Center (KORLCC) is to lead and encourage the community to practice, maintain, respect, embrace and preserve Kanien’kéha language, beliefs, values, customs and traditions. In so doing, the aim is to ensure the continued existence of their language and foster awareness and pride of the Kanien’keha heritage. 

Project description 

Funding will contribute to construct a new building in Kahnawà:ke, which will host multiple venues and programs: theatre, museum, tourism education and language revitalization.
