Background of the organization 

Founded in 2001, Environment Funders Canada (EFC) is a membership-based network of over 70 environmental funders who are committed to addressing the climate and biodiversity crises with bold ambition. By facilitating learning, connection, and collaboration, their efforts are bolder, smarter, and stronger.

Project description 

Funding will support Environment Funders Canada (EFC) in advancing federal climate policies through the Low Carbon Funders Group (LCFG), a collaborative initiative hosted by EFC. The LCFG brings together philanthropic funders and environmental organizations to coordinate strategic efforts, influence policy, and ensure effective resource allocation for climate action. This project will help maintain policy engagement, prevent policy rollbacks, and strengthen climate advocacy through collaboration with government stakeholders, labour unions, and industry partners.
