Aki Energy works with Manitoba First Nations to reduce energy costs through cost-effective investments in renewable energy. Aki Energy provides hands-on training to local tradespeople, ensuring that the project creates local employment and long term economic development opportunities. The organization provides technical expertise, financing development and project management.
Aki Energy is an Indigenous-led social enterprise enabling clean energy solutions in remote Indigenous communities in Manitoba. Funding will support the installation of 70 geothermal units in Fisher River Cree Nation and Peguis First Nation.
