Background of the organization

Imagine Canada is a national organization that conducts research, collects and analyzes data, and leads advocacy, convenings, and training to improve the systems in which nonprofits and charities operate so they can work together alongside businesses and governments to build vibrant and prosperous communities, as well as a stronger Canada.

Project description

Funding will help Imagine Canada address key federal policy barriers that constrain nonprofit effectiveness, focusing on changes to the Income Tax Act legislation, the charitable disbursement quota rules, and grantee reform. It will also help establish fairer funding at the government level and advance policy changes that will strengthen long-term stability for the Canadian nonprofit sector.
