Background
Imagine Canada is a national registered charity with offices in Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa. Among other initiatives, IMAGINE Canada undertakes research related to volunteerism in Canada, influences government polices and charity law, and nurtures partnerships with the private sector.
Full Description
The National Summit will provide a unique opportunity for 400 people from the community sector, business, and government – including at least 80 young leaders – to meet face to face to contribute to a national strategy and specific action plans to strengthen the community sector. Thousands more will be involved on-line.
Following the summit, publications, platforms for collaboration and outreach activities across the country will create greater awareness of the critical role of the community sector in maintaining Canadians’ quality of life.
A grant from the Foundation will support the workshops and outreach activities leading up to and following the National Summit, subsidize certain costs related to the National Summit, and ensure that lessons from the event are shared widely.
