Transition to a New Application Portal for Communities
The McConnell Foundation will soon proceed to an important update for applicants engaging with the Communities Focus Area. The McConnell Foundation is transitioning to a new application portal as part of our organization-wide update to technology tools. We have decided to fully launch its refined strategy within the new portal to provide a more streamlined experience for applicants.
Key Dates for Communities Focus Area Applicants
- Portal Closure Date: The existing Fluxx portal for Communities will close to new applications on February 3rd.
- Stage 2 Deadline: Applicants invited to submit Stage 2 proposals must do so by January 17th to be considered for the March funding cycle.
What This Means for Communities Focus Area Applicants
- Draft Applications Not Yet Submitted: If you have started a draft application, please submit it by February 3rd to ensure consideration.
Alternatively, if you’re considering applying and have not yet begun an application, we encourage you to wait for the new portal to open in Spring 2025 to take advantage of the streamlined experience.
- Submitted Applications: Your application is currently under review. Rest assured, alignment with the new Communities strategy pillars will be taken into account as part of the evaluation process.
- Stage 2 Proposals: If you’ve been invited to Stage 2, you will retain full access to the existing portal to complete and submit your proposal by the January 17th deadline. If you are unable to meet this deadline, please contact us and a member of our team will assist you.
Transition Period
During the transition period, no new applications will be accepted until the new portal launches in Spring 2025.
