United Way Centraide Canada

Background of the organization

United Way Centraide Canada is a national network of local experts committed to meeting immediate community needs — and tackling the complex social issues at the root of those needs. United Way Centraides work locally, each registered as its own non-profit organization and governed by an independent volunteer-led Board of Directors. Serving more than 5,000 communities across Canada, the organization shares a vision where everyone, in every community has the opportunity to thrive. By uniting the power of people, organizations, and resources, the network is creating awareness, inspiring action, and advancing social change in communities nationwide.
