The Right Relations Collaborative

Background of the organization

The Rights Relations Collaborative (RRC), established in 2020, is a shared space for Indigenous leaders and funding partners to address the inequities and harms of the current philanthropic system. Guided by Indigenous leaders, they seek to increase the flow of funding into community-rooted initiatives, break down barriers, and foster healthy relationships to support a restorative and regenerative future.

Project description

This contribution will support the RRC initiative, which, like partners Northern Manitoba Food Culture and Community Collaborative (NMFCCC), Gaagige Zaagibigaa (GZ), Northwest Territories On The Land Collaborative (OTL), and Saskatchewan Funders Collaborative, will pool funds to provide direct financial gifts to Indigenous community-based organizations. The initiative prioritizes community health and resilience, cultural preservation, and connection to land, offering long-term, unrestricted support to enhance the core operations of these organizations.
