Revivre is a Quebec-based non-profit organization that supports people with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. It helps over 10,000 people each year through its phone and e-mail support, online discussion forum, support groups and workshops.
A grant from the Social Innovation Fund is supporting Revivre to undertake the necessary research, adaptation and development to scale the J’Avance program across Canada. Grounded in the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, J’Avance is an evidence-based 10-week self-management course tailored to people with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. Taught in a group setting, self-management is an effective and efficient way of empowering people with mental illness with the competencies to manage their recovery.
This grant supports the translation of J’Avance from French to English, development and execution of marketing/communications and pricing strategies, and the evaluation of a youth adaptation of J’Avance.
