About the organization
The Public Policy Forum was founded in 1987 and works with all levels of government and the public service, private sector, labour groups, post-secondary institutions, NGOs and Indigenous groups to improve policy outcomes for Canadians. It is non-partisan, collaborative and solutions focused.
Grant Description
This grant will support the Public Policy Forum in their development of four areas of activity.
- Training and coordination to help media organizations, governments and other Canadian institutions respond quickly to disinformation
- Media monitoring and research about how disinformation works – including who is doing it and paying for it.
- Developing a digital social contract to address the root causes of misinformation in social media.
- Strategic communications and advocacy to raise awareness, educate and activate the public
