Ontario Indigenous Youth Partnership Project

Background of the organization

Established in 2013 and hosted on the MakeWay platform, the Ontario Indigenous Youth Partnership Project (OIYPP) is an Indigenous, youth and women‑led funder collaborative. OIYPP serves Indigenous youth across Ontario, from major urban centres to remote fly‑in communities, addressing the province’s large Indigenous youth population.

Project description

Funding will enable OIYPP to expand support for Indigenous youth‑led projects and hire a Cultural Knowledge & Operations Manager. This role will care for and steward OIYPP’s Spirit Bundle through teachings, ceremonies and protocols. The grant will also help OIYPP scale up to 50 youth‑led projects annually, strengthening cultural relevance, mentorship and community connection while expanding youth leadership across Ontario.
