Northwest Territories On the Land Collaborative

Background of the organization 

The Northwest Territories On the Land Collaborative (NWT OTL), hosted by Makeway, was created in 2015 to support land-based programs across the territory. It brings together Indigenous governments, nonprofits, and funders to support community-led initiatives that connect people to land, culture, and traditional knowledge. 

Project description 

Support will contribute to the continued growth and stability of the NWT On the Land Collaborative, which distributes over $1 million annually to community projects. These initiatives promote youth engagement, healing, environmental stewardship, and cultural revitalization.
