Future of Good

Background of the organization

Founded in 2018, Future of Good is a national media and learning platform focused on strengthening Canada’s social purpose sector. Future of Good is a QCJO (Qualified Canadian Journalism Organization) and an RJO (Registered Journalism Organization). Through written journalism, research and events, Future of Good analyzes emerging trends, surfaces community‑led insights and highlights challenges faced by nonprofits, funders and social finance leaders. Its trusted reporting and convenings help build shared understanding, support sector learning and inspire more equitable and effective practices across philanthropy and social impact organizations.

Project description

Funding will support journalism, research and convenings that strengthen Canada’s nonprofit sector. Future of Good will report on issues including social finance, reconciliation, climate justice, anti‑racism and EDI, while hosting events such as the Changemaker Wellbeing Summit, AI Academy & Storytelling Studio, DAF Disrupted and the Equitable Funders Peer Gathering. Funding also supports website improvements, resource archiving and sector surveys to assess how Future of Good’s reporting influences decision‑making and organizational planning.
