Background of the organization

Founded in 1973, Council of Yukon First Nations (CYFN) is a non-profit serving the needs of First Nations within the Yukon and the MacKenzie Delta and acting as a political advocacy organization to advance their rights, interests, and self-determination through collective leadership and government relations.

Project description

Funding will allow CYFN to complete the final design plans of the second-stage housing unit for women and children seeking to transition out of emergency shelter services in Whitehorse, Yukon so the project can be shovel-ready when federal funding becomes available in 2027.
