Reset Tech & SickKids’ Child Health Policy Accelerator

Background of the organization

Reset Tech is a global network of researchers, policy experts, and storytellers with deep expertise in online safety and tech accountability. The SickKids’ Child Health Policy Accelerator (CHPA) is Canada’s first hospital-based applied child and youth health and social policy initiative. These organizations bring complementary strengths in child protection, technology accountability, research, and public policy. Together, they are well positioned to advance safer digital environments for young people while promoting responsible and accountable technology.

Project description

Funding will support two complementary initiatives to shape the Safe Social Media Act (Bill C-34). Reset Tech will coordinate a national network of bereaved parents who bring lived experience to advocacy, testimony, legislative review, and public accountability for Bill C-34, while CHPA will provide research and policy expertise to shape the legislation and its implementation.
