Background of the organization
The Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health (CCSMH) is a national program of the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry (CAGP) dedicated to promoting the mental health and well-being of older adults across Canada. Through the development of evidence-based clinical guidelines, educational resources, practical tools, and policy initiatives, CCSMH supports healthcare and social service systems and providers in delivering high-quality mental health care to older adults. Working with a broad network of healthcare professionals, researchers, policy-makers, caregivers, and older adults with lived experience, CCSMH helps advance awareness, reduce stigma, and improve mental health outcomes for older adults in communities across the country.
