Background of the organization

Established in 2022 as a project of the Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry, the Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health (CCSMH) is a national charity that focuses on supporting older adults’ mental health through information, resources, professional development and clinical guidelines. In the past, they’ve developed comprehensive clinical guidelines in four key areas that serve as essential tools for health care providers and caregiving professionals. Today, the CCSHM continues to serve as a leader in knowledge transfer and advocacy in the field and remains committed to advancing evidence-based, comprehensive and compassionate care for older adults’ mental health.
