Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business

Grant description:

The Canada Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) is encouraging the federal government to direct 5% of its procurement to Aboriginal businesses. To enable government departments to do so, this project will develop a database of corporations committed to Aboriginal procurement and a directory of Certified Aboriginal Businesses in Canada.

Background of the organization:

Founded in 1984, the CCAB delivers programs that facilitate the growth of Aboriginal business, build relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal business, and ensure life-long learning for Aboriginal entrepreneurs, and other Canadian business leaders.
