Clean Economy Fund

Background of the organization

The Clean Economy Fund is a charitable public foundation that believes in the power of philanthropy for solving climate change. It acts as fiduciary for a collaborative project between five credible and experienced organizations that have helped develop more than 560 climate action plans, launched over 120 programs, and worked with more than 1000 communities across all 13 Canadian provinces and territories.

Project description

Funding will support the project that connects municipalities, community partners, and residents to co-design local climate actions. A proven, open-source software adapted for Canadian use will be piloted in 10 municipalities and the funding will support the first two. It will also enable the development of a learning and evaluation system which will enable the team to train other organizations to lead similar work with more municipalities.
