Background of the organization
Fora: Network for Change (Fora) is a Canadian charity driving change nationally and globally by equipping young women and gender-diverse leaders, aged 18-29, with the training, mentorship, networks, and opportunities needed to advance their leadership and careers, creating lasting impact in their communities. Fora envisions a future where young leaders can find strength and community in a strong global network of peers, driving lasting gender-equity and social change.
Beyond Fora’s programs, they advance systems change through research and training that amplifies the lived experiences of young women and gender-marginalized youth. By connecting leadership development with evidence-informed recommendations, they work to improve the structures, policies, and practices that shape access to leadership.
Project description
Funding will support the rollout of a coordinated program establishing young women–designated board seats and delivering tools, training, and peer learning to foster inclusive governance. Progress will be measured by tracking inclusive bylaws, new board roles, and greater governance access for equity‑deserving youth.
