Founded in 1990, Ecojustice is Canada’s largest environmental law charity. It uses legal tools to protect the environment and public health, and supports communities impacted by pollution and climate change. Ecojustice has offices across Canada and a strong track record in strategic litigation.
Project description
Funding will support legal advocacy and strategic litigation to hold oil companies accountable for abandoned well cleanup. Ecojustice will also regrant funds to local organizing groups in Alberta and pursue legal reform to prevent public liability for cleanup costs.
