Simon Fraser University’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue (CfD) is renowned for its expertise in facilitation, leveraging dialogue and knowledge exchange among diverse stakeholders to address societal challenges. Partnering with the First Nations’ Emergency Services Society of British Columbia (FNESS), a key provider of support and fire management services to Indigenous communities in BC, CfD aims to enhance their collaborative efforts.

Project description
Funding will contribute to CfD and FNESS’s project to facilitate in-person dialogues among Indigenous leaders and between Indigenous communities and decision-makers. These dialogues aim to exchange fire stewardship knowledge, strengthen relationships, and enhance collaboration on fire mitigation. The ultimate goal is to support the revitalization of Indigenous land and fire stewardship by ensuring effective resource sharing and impactful policy influence.
