Digital Public Square

Background of the organization

Digital Public Square (DPS) is a small nonprofit whose mission is to transform community engagement for the digital era. They use information and technology to help people stay informed, connected, and engaged in civic life. Their relationships with various stakeholders mean they can convene the right people around findings as they emerge, rather than publishing into a vacuum and hoping for uptake.

Project description

Funding will support DPS’s applied research on polarization and help them convene policymakers from Public Safety Canada, Canadian Heritage, the Department of National Defense, and the Privy Council Office to discuss the findings and share key lessons with the public. These discussions will identify practical actions that can be taken to address polarization and strengthen social cohesion.
