Clean Foundation

Background of the organization

With more than 35 years of experience, the Clean Foundation is an environmental organization based in Nova Scotia that helps communities prepare for the realities of a changing climate. They deliver practical, on-the-ground solutions to address complex climate and environmental challenges in communities across the region. As a trusted partner to governments, non-profits and community organizations, they take climate priorities and help turn them into programs that deliver meaningful results.

Project description

Funding will support the Clean Foundation in establishing a social enterprise to charge for services they wish to develop. All proceeds from the social enterprise will be reinvested into the charitable organization, allowing them to extend their offer of services. They will also share insights, training, and lessons about their social enterprise experience with other charitable organizations through their networks.
