Energy Futures Lab

Background of the organization 

Energy Futures Lab is a program of Generate Canada, which connects problem-solvers to tackle complex challenges at the heart of economy, society, and the environment. The Lab supports communities across Alberta in identifying and advancing clean energy opportunities. Through workshops in 14 communities, they’ve engaged local businesses, Indigenous communities, workers, and elected officials to co-create regional visions for clean energy. Their work has helped attract public and private investment into community-led clean energy projects.

Project description 

Funding will enable action within regional innovation networks in Alberta focused on clean electricity, battery supply chains, and other regionally identified clean energy opportunities. The project will also support sustained workforce and supply chain engagement and expand communications capacity to share positive clean energy stories.
