Update regarding McConnell’s COVID-19 preventative measures

Dear Grantees, Investees, Partners and Service Providers,

In alignment with the Quebec government’s preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, all McConnell Foundation staff will be working remotely for the foreseeable future. Please rest assured that our operations will continue as scheduled during this period: we will continue to accept applications via our online portal, make new grants, process progress reports and make payments in keeping with current agreements.

We know that sometimes in-person meetings are the best way to build relationships and get work done, and they remain important to our way of working. However, in keeping with the government’s preventative measures, all meetings will be hosted virtually or postponed until after March 27, when we hope to have a better understanding of the impact of COVID-19 on our communities.

We appreciate that the activities of some grantee organizations may be disrupted during the pandemic, especially those providing frontline community services. We would like to reiterate that we can maintain payment schedules for our current grantees who may be in situations where work could not be completed within agreed-upon time-frames in order to ensure the continuity of operations and security of employment. Please contact your Program Director for details.

Our collective response to this crisis will call upon our resilience and ability to take care of one another. Do take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and your communities.
