Background of the organization
People Bridge Advocacy (PBA) is a Saskatoon-based nonprofit that partners with over 30 underfunded ethnocultural community groups to strengthen their capacity and influence. With over 20 years of trusted relationships, PBA provides mentorship, workshops, and leadership training while fostering cross-cultural connections, including initiatives that build relationships between newcomers and Indigenous communities.
Project description
Funding will support PBA in launching a cross-cultural leadership initiative to enhance newcomer integration. The project includes leadership training, civic engagement workshops, and cultural exchange events. It will also provide direct financial support to small ethnocultural organizations through the Bridging Support Fund, distributing grants to support community-led initiatives.
