Background of the organization

Established in 2002, the First Nations Technology Council (FNTC) is an Indigenous-led organization that supports Indigenous innovators across British Columbia in skill development training, community-led research and advocacy for equitable digital access for Indigenous peoples.


Project description

FNTC will co-create an Indigenous Digital Equity Strategy in British Columbia: a framework for a coordinated and strategic approach to advancing digital equity for Indigenous peoples.

The FNTC will also use the work in BC as a foundation and test case for advancing internet affordability and reliability for Indigenous Peoples across Canada.
