Background of the organization 

The Association for the Rights of Household and Farm Workers (RHFW-DTMF) is a non-profit community organization incorporated in 1977. Through research, education, advocacy and legal action, DTMF-RHFW aims to promote and defend the fundamental rights of household and farm workers, particularly those employed under precarious legal status. 

 

Project description 

Funding from McConnell will support education and advocacy regarding closed work permits. It will bolster existing campaigns like “Open Work Permits Now!” and Amnesty International’s efforts, enhance the participation of migrant groups, unions and NGOs in collective actions, and provide full-time roles for key migrant advocates from “Justicia for Migrant Workers.”
