United Way of the Lower Mainland

About the organization

The United Way of the Lower Mainland was established in 1930. In 2017 it raised and disbursed $35 million to over 300 local agencies that focus on children, families and seniors. The UWLM began prototyping the Social Purpose Institute (SPI) in 2016.

Grant Description

This grant will support the growth of the The Social Purpose Institute (SPI) to help companies adopt “best fit” social practices that complement their core business. A longer-term goal is to support deeper collaboration among the public, private and community sectors.
