for The Banff Centre's Getting to Maybe; A Social Innovation Residency. This unique, month-long residency has been designed for
the change maker with an innovative project that’s ready for significant refinement and development. The residency runs from June 21
to July 19.
An opportunity for practitioners, government, social investors and nonprofit organizations across Canada to come together and learn from leaders and members of the social enterprise community.

Social Innovation Fellowships:
Sustainable Food Systems and RECODE
The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of two Social Innovation Fellowships open to professionals in the early stage of their careers.
These one-year, full time positions are designed to work on the program and administrative activities of the Foundation's Sustainable Food Systems and RECODE initiatives, while providing opportunities for fellows to participate in training, exchange, and knowledge generation activities of the broader social innovation community. They are meant to be a launch pad for people who are interested in future employment within the community, philanthropic, or government sectors or in starting their own social enterprise.

Report Highlights Ways to Bring More Local Food to Ontario’s Dinner Tables
The first research report of its kind in Canada, Dollars and Sense: Opportunities to Strengthen Southern Ontario’s Food System identifies ways Ontario can make changes to its food system to increase the supply of local food, create jobs, and support healthier lifestyles. The report was produced by the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, the Metcalf Foundation, and the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation.

Dollars, democracy & disclosure
Dollars, democracy and disclosure, a recently released discussion paper from the Shareholder Association for Research & Education (SHARE), looks at the question of political spending by Canadian corporations, from an investor perspective.
It is the second in a series of papers to be released as part of a three-year project to encourage dialogue among capital market participants about how Canadian corporations’ influence on public policy debates and decision-making affects the interests of long-horizon investors.
