Granting
The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation directs its grants to a limited number of initiatives relating to four major challenges. We seek to deepen the impact of our philanthropy through better understanding of complex issues; through the learning and adaptation that arise from working with strategic intent; and through the building of strong relationships.
The process of launching and managing Foundation initiatives is ongoing. Community organizations may be invited to respond to a request for proposals in areas that are under development or that are already launched.
The Foundation currently emphasizes grantmaking in four strategic areas:
Unsolicited proposals are only considered via our online application process. They are reviewed and may result in a request for a full proposal, be filed for possible future consideration, or, if they fall outside our granting guidelines, declined.
